Going back in object history

Tap on the back button in the object form to go to the previous object. The object history remembers up to eight objects.

 

Going forward in object history

Tap on the forward button in the object form to go to the next object. The object history remembers up to eight objects.

 

Going to a matching object

Tap on until the note and link buttons appear. If the button in a certain line is tapped the database is searched for an object whose key field name and entry matches to that of the line. If a matching object is found it will be opened. If no matching object exists a dialog opens and asks if a new object with a matching key field shall be created.

 

Opening an object

Tap on the object line in the object list form

 

Saving a copy of the current object as a new object

Tap on the New button in the object form. A copy of the object is created and loaded into the object form. After changes are made to the new object or must be used to get the changes saved.

 

Saving an object and returning to the object list

Press the Ok button in the object form

 

Saving an object without closing the object form

Tap on the Save button in the object form

 

Sorting the object list

The object list can be sorted and displayed alphabetically or chronologically (in order of creation). You can select the sort mode by tapping the abc or the 123 button in the object list form.

The objects are sorted alphabetically by the entry of the key field of the object. E.g. for the object Region Napa valley the Napa valley string determines the position in the alphabetically sorted list (see picture on the left).

 

Turn on help mode

In the object form tap on the menu button and select Help on from the help menu. Then tap on any button of the object form to get a short help string for that button. Tap Help off in the help form if you want to leave the help mode.
