Creating an new object database

Tap on in the database form. A form opens where you have to enter the name of the new database. This is the object or main database that will hold the objects. The field definitions and item lists are stored in a separate database called list database. You can assign an existing list database via the popup list or create a new one by selecting - new - from the list and entering a name. Deleting an object database


To delete a Database tap on delete and then on the database name in the database list form.

 

Opening an object database


To open a database tap on its name in the database list form.

 

Renaming an object database


To rename a Database tap on rename and then on the database name in the database list form. A dialog opens for the new database name.

 

Deleting a list database

Tap on to display a list of the list databases. In the top bar tap on delete and then on the database name to delete it. Tap on to return to the database form. Do only delete a list database when you are sure that no object database uses it.

 

Renaming a list database

Tap on to display a list of the list databases. Tap on rename and then on the database name. A form opens where you can enter the new name. Tap on to return to the database form. Since object databases refer to their list databases by the name you have to reassign the renamed list database to those object databases that use it.

 

Assigning a list database


This is only necessary if a list database has been renamed because the object database refers to its list database via the name. To assign the new name to the object database select assign list DB from the top button bar in the database form and then tap on the object database name. A form opens where you can select the list database from the popup list.
