Menues

The menues are only available in the drawing form, i.e. you must open a drawing to use them.

 

Sketch

Rename: opens a form to enter a name for the sketch. The sketch is listed with this name plus the date of the last change in the sketch list form. If not used the sketch will be displayed with name "unnamed".

Save as new: save current drawing as a new sketch without changing the old one.

Cancel: return to the sketch list without saving the changes.

Delete: remove the current sketch from the database and return to the sketch list.

Export to memo: exports the current sketch to the memo application. The format is FIG3.2 which is used by the unix drawing program xfig. There is a Java-version of xfig which runs on the Windows platform (http://tech-www.informatik.uni-hamburg.de/applets/javafig). There are also some converters from FIG3.2 to other common graphic formats.

 

Options

Snap to grid on/off: toggles the snap-to-grid mode on or off. If turned on, new objects are aligned to a grid. The grids size can be set independly for the horizontal and the vertical direction in the preferences form. (the mode can also be enabled and disabled in the preferences form)

Snap to object on/off: toggles the snap-to-object mode on or off. If turned on, new objects are aligned to coordinates of already existent objects. (the mode can also be enabled and disabled in the preferences form)

Hor./vert. on/off: toggles the horizontal/vertical mode on or off. If turned on, lines that are oriented close to vertical (horizontal) are drawn exactly vertical (horizontal). (the mode can also be enabled and disabled in the preferences form)

Clear screen: deletes all objects of the current sketch and removes them from the screen.

Preferences: opens a form where the snap features can be configured. (Please note that the option to display the grid is only available with Palm OS version 3.5 and higher)

 

Edit

to background: moves the selected object(s) to the background (so the object or parts of it may be hidden by other objects).

to foreground: moves the selected object(s) to the foreground (so it/they may hide other objects).
